Dress Code

Smart Casual. No sportswear. No outrageous or offensive fancy dress.

On Friday, Saturday, bank holiday Sunday and special events such as NYE the dress code is more smart than casual.

Sunday to Thursday dress code is more relaxed.

Entrance

Persona: If any aspect of your character suggests you may not be attending this venue to have a good time & respect others around you, we will not hesitate to refuse entry to you and your guests.

IDscan: After 9pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Bank Holiday Sundays & NYE, ALL guests will need to scan their ID on entry. Entry will be refused to any guests without ID.

Over 18's only: This venue operates a check 25 policy, therefore if you are lucky enough to appear under 25 you will be asked for proof of identity on entry and when purchasing alcohol.

Accepted forms of ID: Passport (no copies), photo driving licence or PASS hologram cards.

The Backroom conducts random searches on entry and exit. We operate a zero tolerance policy on drugs. Anyone suspected of dealing or using drugs will be asked to leave the premises immediately.

Customers are advised that the Backroom shares information with Leeds Business Crime Reduction Partnership and Leeds City Pubwatch to assist in reducing crime and disorder for businesses in Leeds. CCTV is in operation throughout the premises.

Single admissions are not permitted.

Couples

The Backroom will always try to prioritise entry for couples. Please try to let us know in advance if you are out with a loved one for a special occasion, we will do our best to make your night extra special.

Groups

Use our table booking enquiry service or purchase advance tickets via Fatsoma for efficient entry and reduced admission charges. Please arrive in a mixed female and male group.

This licensed premises exercises the legal right to refuse admission without providing a reason.

Refusal of Service

We promote responsible drinking and in accordance with legislation, will refuse to serve anyone who is, or appears to be intoxicated or who is acting in a disruptive, abusive or violent manner. These persons will not be allowed to remain on the licensed premise. Staff will also refuse service to any person who attempts to obtain alcohol for someone who is deemed intoxicated. Tap water is freely available at all bars upon request.
